New House Tour: Hall Bathroom

Now that we're getting more settled into the new digs I think it's time to start sharing some photos of the finished (or at least somewhat finished) rooms. As I said in my last post about the house, this house has been recently remodeled and left us with lots of beautifully upgraded spaces. MAJOR PLUS. However the one downfall to buying an already remodeled home (if you're like me and care about this kind of stuff) it might not all be exactly your style or flavor. But like I also said, one of the major draws to this house for us was that while it does have all the upgrades and remodeling, it also has plenty of room for us to slowly integrate our style and flavor by making subtle changes as we go. One example of how (I think) we've done this so far is our hall bathroom. It looked like this before... see all of the bronzy/arizona-y/remodely touches like the mirror, vanity light, and tile work. Don't get me wrong, we are obsessed with the tile work throughout the house and LOVE both of our showers, again though just not our style. But hey, nothing an adorable shower curtain can't hide right?

We added the curtain, painted the walls a dark grey, replaced the light fixture, replaced the mirror, and added all of the decorative touches and instantly this bathroom was transformed from a dark, brown, neutral space to what now feels light, airy, and bold... it's amazing how this dark grey color can be all of this in one. We love it!

That piece of wall next to the mirror is what I'd still consider unfinished. Hard to decide what should go there... would artwork clash with the mirror/be too much hanging on that wall? Would a shelf mimic the one across from it too much? Decisions decisions...
