Little did I know how much a piece of furniture could change your life. You know those finds, the kind where you're more excited about the fact that you FOUND it rather than the actual object? This is one of those, technically not because I am SO beyond obsessed with it, but kind of because this story is still unbelievable to me. I stumbled upon this set of THREE gold trim/glass tables on Craigslist a while ago. The WHOLE SET OF THREE tables was $20!! Now obviously I wasn't looking for THREE tables, heck, I wasn't even looking for ONE table. But the thought of these 3 beautiful tables just waiting to be picked up for $20 was enough to keep my awake at night. So we made the drive over as soon as we could to rescue them. Now I won't mention how far we drove to pick up these bad boys, let's just say we got some good quality time in with each other which is something I'm never mad about : ) By this time I had decided I'd be keeping the long narrow one, I mean really how could I not? And when we got it home I thought I might die of happiness when we realized it was the perfect shape and size for our rug and couch, LOOK at that fit! The next day we posted the other two tables on Craigslist and got calls, texts, and emails all day long from people interested. And sure enough just like that the other two side tables were nestled safely into their new homes. Did I mention we MADE money on this whole ordeal? Between selling the two extra tables and our existing coffee table we were able to make quite the pretty penny off of purchasing this new coffee table. This my friends is called a Craigslist Flip, something we'll go more in depth about in Craigs Corner sometime. I was shocked at the response to these tables once they were re-posted with the proper keywords and staged photos. They were originally (in my opinion) horribly labeled and worded which is why they were still available after quite some time of sitting on Craigslist. Not to mention almost EVERY email I have received regarding these tables has inquired about the long/narrow coffee table that is in the background of the pictures, which is, ahem, NOT FOR SALE : )
My favorite feature of the table is the legs! I love the shape of the bottoms. We still cannot get over it's perfect fit for the rug and couch size. It originally did not have the bottom piece of glass and of course the whole point of the table is to have a fun bottom shelf arrangement so we quickly called my Grandma who used to work for a glass company and she hooked us up with a perfect piece of glass!
I love that I can change out the bottom shelf arrangement with the seasons and whenever I find fun things to put down there. Right now it's all just stuff I had lying around pulled together to create a look. Plus this basket of faux fruit that I got at the dollar store and covered in glitter.
Two of my favorite lookbooks... a Gap portraits book and our wedding guest book!

I feel like I played a VERY small part in this post due to the fruit and the gap book. But you, of course, make it all work together in a way that most people would never imagine. So cute!
