I have finally done it! I've started an Etsy shop! After years and years of ordering from Etsy and admiring all of the beautifully hand crafted products, I' decided it was time to get in on the Etsy action myself. I've been meaning to set up some sort of Etsy shop for a couple of years now but never got around to it. I finally got the motivation I needed in the beginning of January when I decided to make Joel an anniversary card. I am a big believer in handmade cards and always try to come up with fun & creative ways to
not spend money hand-make cards for Joel. We're the opposite. He's that guy who goes to the store and comes home with a $4 greeting card and I'm that girl who does anything she can to avoid spending that kind of cash on a card. Anyway, I decided I'd design a card for him and then feed it through my printer at home to see if it'd work and sure enough, it did! I watched this perfectly crafted card fall off the printer and thought to myself... "I'd actually pay for this card". Now that got me thinking "Hmmm... If I am saying I would pay for this card, that probably means other people would too". And right then and there my Etsy shop was born!
Fred & Roger is a source for simple, unique, and fun notecards that are exciting to give & receive. All of my cards (and other products I have planned for the future) use kraft paper and black ink and are made right here in my home. Simple & sweet. Oh, and you're probably wondering what's up with the name, Fred & Roger? Well when thinking about what I wanted to name my shop I wanted a name with personal meaning but that of course sounded interesting and of course "cool". When we were little my dad used to refer to my twin sister and I as "Fred & Roger", probably in an effort to convince himself that he actually had sons. The nickname stuck around through the years and it came to me as an idea for the shop and I loved it. I've been working on the card designs and all the details for a couple of months now and am so excited to finally open up the shop
Head on over to the shop now to check out what I've got to offer!
