Look what we got!

A couple of months ago I did a favor for a friend at school and she told me that in exchange she'd print some of my projects/photos for free at the print shop she works at... SCORE. Since the end of school was nearing I decided to take her up on the offer for a little personal project I had in mind, a large photo of me & J! I knew we had our engagement session coming up and that I'd more than likely want a large print for our home one day, a classic print that I wouldn't get sick of. Sometimes I feel like people make the mistake of getting HUGE wedding prints made and then a couple years later you're sick of staring at such a specific memory, rather than displaying a more natural every-day type moment. So that's what I decided to do. I chose a calming, simple, intimate-but-not-too-intimate photo from our engagement session.

I met up with her yesterday to get the print and I could not be more happy with it! It's the perfect size, fit for the frame, quality, it's perfect. I couldn't find a way to accurately display how large it is until it's actually hung on the wall so for now this birds eye view will have to do, although it looks like it's a normal 5x7 picture it actually measures 16"x24"! I already have a frame that was a steal at Michaels for $8 that's just been empty so this is the perfect use for it! Not sure if we'll end up painting the frame or leaving it this cool antique-y gold color, but I have a feeling that will have to be determined when we get closer to living somewhere. (I also need to get glass and a backing for the frame, that's why it was $8 people)
