Rude.

It had been a such a great night... We'd just finished our delicious meal at PF Changs, made a new friend out of our sweet waiter Dave, and were headed on to our next adventure: snuggling up on the couch and watching Extreme Couponing when things took a turn for the worse.

We were stopped at the train tracks waiting for the longest train known to mankind to pass when Joel got the bright idea to start messing around with a sharpie he had in his truck. It started with a playful little mark on my hand that I let slide (or so he thought). Little did he know I had found my own sharpie and next thing he knew I was making a few jabs for his face, yes his face, to give a nice black streak across his cheek for work tomorrow. However these were all (purposefully) unsuccessful attempts, like I'd really do that to my favorite face right?

Well, the next thing iiiiiiiii know Joel reaches over, goes for my face and BAM, contact. Right on the tip of my nose, a thick little black line. I can't really express to you the amount of laughter/hitting/apologizing/more laughter that proceeded to happen. I have never ever heard Joel laugh that hard... it was a mixture of pride, shock, more pride, and just the sight of my nose that had the boy gasping for air with tears in his eyes. And the look on his face and the seconds of silence immediately following the "incident" were enough to have me laughing in tears as well, we both just couldn't believe that really just happened, were we 5? 6? This picture really does not do it justice, when you saw it in person the black was so thick and dark that he couldn't even look at me without laughing. Rude.

After getting over the initial shock and humor of the fact that he actually did this to his fiance, Joel felt reeeeaaaaal bad and tried not to laugh too hard when he looked at me, but yes he still laughed. He even bought me a DQ blizzard to ease the pain and I'm not gonna lie, it kinda did.

But really, how hard is it to stay mad at this guy? He's like, so cute.

So what'd we do? Went home and watched Extreme Couponing of course. Oh wait, not before Joel handled the sharpie situation on my nose with rubbing alcohol. Not cute.
