Here we are!

A couples blog... never thought I'd see the day. I've been thinking about the idea for a while now, but I was unsure if I wanted the responsibility of maintaining another blog aside from stephbarber.com. Ultimately, obviously, the answer was yes. The truth is, my website should be reserved for business. Current & potential clients venture there to see my work, not read about my personal life. Therefore justifying the need for another blog! I'm so excited to have a space reserved just for us, the happenings of our life. Of course I will still maintain stephbarber.com, and details of my personal life may occasionally still be brought up there. But its refreshing to know that I'll now have a defined separation between the two worlds.

If you've found yourself here you're probably aware of the fact that Joel & I are engaged! Because we aren't married yet we spent some time thinking about what the purpose of launching this blog early would be. We ended up deciding that we'd like to begin this blog by documenting our process of "engaging"... meaning we'd like to keep you all informed on plans for our wedding, future home, or just fun ways we spend our time together. It is our desire to document this pursuit of our new life together so that one day we might be able to look back and remember it all.
